“Runaways” – The Killers0

The Killers has such a quintessential indie-pop sound, with a dark twist of mystery – simply defining the sound that all the other groups are trying so hard to achieve these days. After a nearly four year break, the serenely powerful vocals of frontman, Brandon Flowers, dominate the melancholy sweetness in their first single, “Runaways”; The track  begins with a rolling piano beat and swells with percussion and equally booming vocals.

Thinking back to The Killers previous albums brings back a mix of emotions as I remember library cram sessions, old boyfriends, soulful lyricism, and above all, good music.

It’s featured on their upcoming fourth studio album, Battle Born, out September 18th!
