May this serves as a gift of peace and love in a troubled time that in your journey you hold me in your memory.
As Hazzard pointed out last week with his lovely write up on Cherub, this group is quickly becoming one of my favorite new bands of 2012. After hearing them for the first time this past fall there was something unique about them that grabs hold of you in a deeper way.
“Hold Me” is one of the many powerful songs featured on their latest album, Mom & Dad, filled with passionate instrumentals and falsetto voices. The beautiful video is directed by Jordan Riggs and takes you through the euphoric, bliss in a dream like state, only to wake up without the person you need in your life.
While the boys dedicated this to someone they lost, it can be applied to many feelings of loss, not just the physical state; But while you may feel alone at one point or another, remember the words that flash on the bottom of the screen at the end of the video – I encourage you to watch it all the way through.
