If you didn’t know every word to “What Would You Do” while growing up, then I’m going to question your childhood.

Bastille, an alternative pop artist from London, did a pretty stellar cover of City High’s “What Would You Do” – The production stood out the most to me, and I really enjoyed the way he put his own spin on the song. He has an old school voice, which actually sounds a bit like Josh Groban when he projects it. Shouts to Lucas for the heads up.

“I’m the effin man, you don’t get it do ya?
Type of money everybody acting like they knew ya
Go Uptown, New York City Biiitch
Some Spanish girls love me like I’m on Aventura
Tell Uncle Luke I’m out in Miami too
Clubbing hard, F*n women ain’t much to do”

I feel like we should start a 15 day countdown since Drake keeps releasing singles before his highly anticipated album Take Care drops. “The Motto” ft Lil Wayne isn’t my favorite of his, but still is a lighthearted track, which hits heavy on “YOLO” (you only live once) and partying in NYC & Miami, differing from his collaboration with Nicki on “Make Me Proud”.

Check out the tracklist** below! I’m most excited about another Rihanna collaboration….and what’s this untitled bonus track ft Lil Wayne?

Take Care

1. Over My Dead Body

2. Shot For Me

3. Headlines

4. Crew Love ft. The Weeknd

5. Take Care ft. Rihanna

6. Marvins Room

8. We’ll Be fine

9. Make Me Proud ft. Nicki Minaj

10. Lord Knows ft. Rick Ross

“When I stare in your eyes, I see my real life, that’s why I never sleep with my back to you.”

Frank Ocean. BOOM.

Smoooooth R&B track from my favorite OFWGKTA member. This is a little less progressive then what we usually see from him, and has a much more mainstream feel – But it beautifully shows off his signature vocals. Ocean pours out his love in these lyrics, and I’ve probably played it 6 times this morning already.

“Dreams feel realer than right now, but whatever you do don’t let go.

My only nightmare is waking up alone in a world where you’re not mine.”

Collin McLoughlin, the king of acoustic mashups, released his album, Stark Perspective today with 4 all original tracks, written, produced, and recorded solely by him. His talent is undeniable, and in a world full of hip hop right now, his vocals are the stand out point; I definitely would not complain if he felt the need to serenade me. Every song is really beautiful, and at some points his voice reminds me of James Taylor, does anyone else hear that or am I just crazy? The slower vibe has a slightly dark twist that makes it relatable to guys & girls. The majority of the tracks follow his acoustic history, but have some hints of dubstep that pop up.

Overall it’s a great project, and it’s super important to support great music – So go download it from iTunes HERE! Cop the bonus track, “Chasing Dreams” for free below!

“Now make that mother f*cker hammer time”

Big Sean and Ms. Minaj dropped some fresh (prince) visuals for their “Dance (A$$) Remix” and it was not what I was expecting. Loved the colors and patterns and thought it was visually stimulating, but let’s be honest, I wanted to see some booty dances. Instead of Nicki’s ass being the star, Big Sean was more interesting to watch. You have no idea how much it pains me to say I wanted more from Nicki, but I did! Shake it like you mean it girl. I wasn’t convinced.

This is straight up amazing.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis created a music video for their track, “And We Danced” which clearly pokes fun at pop culture; This fun, party track was from Macklemore’s, The Unplanned Mixtape, and the vid looks so unbelievably fun that I would have gladly paid to be on set for this. Macklemore can bust a move, and does not seem at all restricted in his gold, sequin onesie…

Griff J & Ryan Lewis directed the glamified video and made sure that the 80’s inspired DP got a good chuckle from everyone watching; And with 110k views in 2 days, I think it’s safe to say they achieved that.

Jesus, Cal.

Anyone who can make me forget about Drake for a minute deserves a gold star in my book.
It’s no surprise that Timeflies delivered another bomb Timeflies Tuesday but it is a slight surprise that I’m toying with the fact that this might even be better than the original. Cal & Rez switched it up a bit, and decided to cover Drake’s “I’m On One” instead of dropping a freestyle. Drake, please, PLEASE, forgive me, but this is awesome. Cal adds better vocals on the hook, and adds his unique flavor to the rap verses, while Rez throws in some acoustic sounds. The mp3 will be available later this week, so check for an update.

I have a feeling you guys are gonna like this one…

Monster Mashes produced an entire mixtape that mashes, the laid back hip-hop duo, Aer, and old school rapper phenom, Biggie, to make, Big Aer. Monster Mashes, otherwise known as, Ellis Wazeter, is get this…a 15 year old kid from PA. This is one of those instances where you can’t judge a book by its cover, because although the photoshop skills are lacking, the talent is there, and this proves to be full of very chill mashups of contrasting genres.
Best tracks: Party on the Moon, Wonderin Why I Fell, and Everyday Struggle. What’s your favorite?
